Towers of Paine Circuit

Torres del Paine National Park, is one of the greatest scenic wonders of the world, equal to the combined splendor of Yosemite and the Grand Tetons. In the wilderness of southern Chile, age-old glaciers have receded from the granite rock of the Cordillera Paine, leaving a wall of craggy peaks protruding a near-vertical 6,000 to 8,000 feet from the surrounding rolling grasslands. On trek, pack horses carry gear most of the way, but for 3 days we’ll backpack through a section of trail too difficult for them to traverse

At the beginning of our trip, we will be special guests at a privately-owned working ranch, outside of Punta Arenas.

This is a demanding, but infinitely rewarding, adventure beneath the magnificent spires, the highest of which is the Paine Grande at 10,600 feet. Wildlife and bird-life abounds in the truly wondrous sanctuary.
